2009 State Brackets

The state brackets are now available - 2009 State Brackets.

The girls division is not done yet.  We will post it as soon as we receive them.

The state brackets have been updated to include the girls division and corrections.

Please email Merle Aske as soon as possible if there are any errors.  The brackets will be going to the printers tomorrow.

The state brackets were updated again.

Note from Aberdeen:

The only weight classes that will be completed on Saturday are those with 5 or fewer wrestlers.  All weight classes with 6 or more wrestlers will wrestle on Sunday.

Bracketing information:
The 7 draw scenarios were provided to us by the SDWCA.  There was an error in one of the draw patterns and has been corrected for the following brackets:

Bantam 60
Novice 80
Novice 112
Schoolboy 90
Schoolboy 115
Schoolboy 150
Schoolboy 160
Cadets 112
Cadets 171
Cadets 189

A wrestlers name was omitted from the regions results for the Novice 130 pound weight class and the bracket was updated. 

Girls Division:
We gathered the actual birth years for all girls and the weights from regions to place them in brackets.  We will wrestle them in with all of the divisions and weight classes.  Some of the girls divisions will be wrestling on Sunday.  If any girls don't show up they will become a forfeit just like they do in the boys divisions.

We can take corrections all the way until the tournament starts.  But we need to send the brackets to the printer today.

The Schoolboy 125 pound weight class has been updated due to a wrestler being omitted from region wrestling results.
